Trump shares a photo of Maduro's arrest... handcuffed and blindfolded
SadaNews - On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump shared a photo of his Venezuelan counterpart after his arrest, showing Nicolás Maduro handcuffed and blindfolded.
Another circulating photo on social media documented the moment of the Venezuelan president's arrest, where Maduro appeared wearing white clothes and surrounded by several elements of the U.S. Army.
U.S. President Donald Trump revealed details of the arrest operation, confirming that the operation was conducted precisely without any American casualties and that he watched it live via a broadcast.
Trump stated during an interview with Fox News: "U.S. forces arrested Maduro from inside a fortress," emphasizing that the operation did not result in any American fatalities, and that he is currently detained aboard the USS Iwo Jima.
He also added: "I watched the operation live, it was like a television show."
Informed sources revealed that Maduro was arrested by Delta forces, which are considered akin to elite forces within the U.S. Army, according to CBS NEWS.
The United States has accused Maduro of running a "drug state" and rigging elections. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan leader accused Washington of seeking to seize his country's oil reserves, the largest in the world.
