10 Western Countries Express Grave Concern Over Deteriorating Humanitarian Situation in Gaza
SadaNews - Britain, Canada, France, and other countries expressed their grave concern today, Tuesday, regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, calling on Israel to take urgent action.
According to "Reuters", the statement issued by the foreign ministers of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and Britain stated: "We express our grave concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, which remains catastrophic."
The statement highlighted that civilians in Gaza are facing horrific conditions, with 1.3 million people still in urgent need of shelter.
It added that the complete collapse of Gaza's sewage infrastructure has left 740,000 people at risk of toxic flooding.
It called for the swift delivery of the remains of the last detained Israeli in Gaza.
Additionally, it urged the Israeli government to ensure that international non-governmental organizations can operate in Gaza in a sustainable way.
