Body of Young Man Found in Beersheba After Being Swept Away by Floods from South Hebron
SadaNews - On Tuesday, search teams found the body of a young man after he was swept away by floods yesterday from the town of Ramadin, south of Hebron.
The director of the Ramadin municipality, Anis Al-Zgharnah, told the official agency that volunteers found the body of the young man, Tamer Nader Al-Zgharnah (21 years old), in the Wadi Al-Sabaa area near Beersheba, inside the 1948 territories, after he was carried away by strong floods from the town of Ramadin yesterday due to the heavy rain that fell in the region while he was trying to cross one of the floodwaters. A group of local residents present at the scene tried to rescue him, but the force of the water swept him away to the Al-Sabaa area where his body was later found.
Immediately, volunteer citizen search teams formed from all over the country launched, since yesterday, to search for Al-Zgharnah along the path of the flood that leads into the 1948 territories in an attempt to locate him and save his life, before it was announced that he was found deceased this morning. His body was transferred to one of the hospitals in the 1948 territories.
