Occupation injures a citizen with live bullets near the apartheid wall in Al-Ram
SadaNews - A young man was injured this morning, Tuesday, by live fire from the Israeli occupation forces near the apartheid wall in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, while attempting to enter his workplace in the territories of 1948.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported in a brief statement that the young man was shot in the foot and was transferred to the hospital.
Al-Ram has witnessed recurring injuries among citizens due to the occupation's firing of live and rubber-coated steel bullets at young men and workers near the apartheid wall and expansion, amid tightened measures and daily pursuits that threaten their lives.
It is noteworthy that more than 500,000 Palestinian workers have lost their livelihood since October 7, 2023, and unemployment rates have exceeded 50% in the West Bank, reaching approximately 44% in besieged areas, especially in the areas most targeted by military checkpoints and closed zones, according to the General Union of Palestinian Workers.
Furthermore, 44 workers have been martyred and hundreds have been injured due to being targeted by the occupation forces with live bullets in the workshops where they work, or when pursued on their way to their workplaces, and near the apartheid wall and expansion, with over 34,000 workers arrested during the past 26 months.
