Smotrich: Funding a "Settlement Revolution" in the West Bank to Strengthen Sovereignty Over the Land
Translation by SadaNews: Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that his government is moving forward with what he described as a "settlement revolution" in the West Bank, affirming that the ongoing steps aim to organize and legalize settlements and reinforce Israeli sovereignty in practice.
Smotrich explained in his statements that "nothing is more exhilarating than seeing the settlements being organized and legalized," specifically referring to the return to the Homesh settlement, which he considers a "symbol of heroism and the Jewish spirit."
He added that these measures come within a policy aimed at "preventing any possibility of establishing an Arab state in Judea and Samaria," as he put it, by enhancing the settlement presence and expanding administrative powers over the land.
Smotrich expressed his gratitude to the Central Command Chief, the civil administration, and the settlement committee, appreciating their role in "leading these important steps" and advancing them, as he said.
