Arrest of the Brothers of the "Beisan Operation" Perpetrator and Consideration of Extending Their Detention Along with the Operator from Arraba

SadaNews - Israeli police have arrested the brothers of the perpetrator of the double attack that occurred on Friday between Beisan and Afula, who are from Qabatiya south of Jenin, while they were staying in the Galilee area within the lands of 48. The Israeli police and the internal security agency (Shabak) stated in a joint statement that they arrested the two brothers (30 and 33 years old) after forces raided an agricultural building near the city of Arraba in the Bet Hov area, following "receiving indications of their location while they were trying to hide." They mentioned that they were arrested in addition to the operator of the attack, who is from the city of Arraba, and was arrested shortly after the attack, which was carried out using his vehicle. The Nazareth Magistrate's Court is scheduled to consider a request from the police on Saturday evening to extend the detention of the operator and the brothers of the perpetrator pending investigation. The court issued a ban on publishing anything related to the investigation proceedings until January 26, or until another decision is issued. The double attack on Friday between Beisan and Afula resulted in the death of an Israeli man and woman due to being run over and stabbed. Following the attack, Israeli army forces stormed the town of Qabatiya, launched a campaign of arrests and field investigations in the town, and raided the home of the attack perpetrator, initiating preparatory works for its demolition.
