Hebrew Channel: Agreement for the Palestinian Authority and a European Team to Manage the Rafah Crossing
Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew channel Rishat Kan revealed this evening, Wednesday, that intermediary countries and the United States have reached an agreement whereby the Palestinian Authority, in cooperation with a team from the European Union, will manage the Rafah crossing when it is decided to open it.
According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, under the agreements reached, the Palestinian General Intelligence, led by Majid Farraj, will carry out the task alongside the Europeans, who will wear uniforms or civilian clothing to conceal their identities.
Throughout the duration of the war, the Israeli political leadership has insisted, and continues to insist, that the Palestinian Authority will not be part of "the day after the war" in the Gaza Strip.
The two parties also agreed that the crossing will only open when it can be opened in both directions, and not gradually in the direction of exiting from Gaza to Egypt only, as demanded by Israel.
