280,000 Foreign Tourists Visited Palestine in 2025

SadaNews: The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Grice Qumsiyeh, stated that approximately 280,000 foreign tourists visited the Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, during this year, among them 150,000 tourists visited the city of Bethlehem.

Qumsiyeh added to the official agency that the return of foreign tourism, despite the ongoing aggression of the occupation on the Gaza Strip, has contributed to reviving the tourism sector to a limited extent, which bodes well for the possibility of boosting it further in the coming period, noting that around 600,000 overnight stays were recorded in hotels in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during the current year.

He clarified that domestic tourism movement has witnessed a noticeable activity, especially from our people in the 48 territories, toward several Palestinian cities, most notably Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarem, Jericho, Hebron, and Bethlehem.

Qumsiyeh pointed out that the ministry has completed around 11,000 licensing requests this year, including building permits, 10,000 of which have been completed, while 1,000 requests are still in process, as part of its efforts to protect tangible cultural heritage.

He also noted the licensing of 12 new tourism and travel offices, thereby increasing the number of licensed tourism and travel offices in Palestine to 223, in addition to licensing 14 new tourist guides, bringing the total number of tourist guides to 313.
