SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab neighborhood, north of occupied Jerusalem, since this Tuesday afternoon.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams dealt with three injuries, one of which was a live bullet wound to the thigh, an injury from live bullet shrapnel, and an injury caused by physical assault.

For its part, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that at least three citizens were injured by the occupation forces' gunfire, in addition to dozens of cases of suffocation due to the firing of tear gas and sound bombs, as well as the arrest of several citizens during the extensive raid carried out by the occupation forces in Kafr Aqab and Qalandia Camp, accompanied by heavy military deployment and wide-ranging raids on homes and commercial shops.

The governorate stated that the occupation forces arrested the citizen Anan Muhammad Taha and his father Muhammad Taha, residents of Qalandia Camp, and also detained a number of citizens and assaulted them.

In a related context, the occupation forces stormed a number of residential buildings located at the entrance of Qalandia Camp, took positions on their rooftops, amid a wide spread of soldiers in the surrounding area. They also forced citizens, under threat and the use of force, to evacuate three residential apartments inside the Hassan Awad building opposite the large mosque of Qalandia Camp.

The occupation forces converted one of the evacuated apartments into a military barracks after forcibly removing its residents and announced its intention to continue using it until nine o'clock tomorrow morning.

The raid involved forces from the occupation army, police, border guards, tax authority, and the municipality of the occupation, accompanied by a large number of bulldozers, cranes, and clamps.

The forces also raided dozens of commercial shops, seizing clothes bearing international brands, quantities of eggs and meats under the pretext of not being licensed, as well as seizing boxes of cigarettes on the grounds of not paying taxes, amounting to tens of thousands of shekels.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces seized the contents of an agricultural nursery opposite the camp, tightened restrictions on the work of ambulance teams, and assaulted media crews during their field coverage. They also noted the direct firing of sound bombs towards school students in the area as they returned from their schools, in addition to the seizure of private surveillance cameras.

In a subsequent development, the occupation forces began demolition operations on the main street extending from the Qalandia military checkpoint to Kafr Aqab neighborhood, and assaulted citizens' vehicles, breaking some and seizing others, amid general fears of the extension and expansion of demolition operations.

The occupation forces also began removing advertisement boards from the middle of the main street and in front of commercial shops, and destroyed a bird-selling shop owned by citizen Iyad Fayala, as well as a memorial for martyr Mahmoud Awad at one of the camp's entrances.

The occupation forces demolished the memorial of martyr Mahmoud Awad during the ongoing raid that has been in place for hours.

The Israeli occupation forces closed the Qalandia military checkpoint, leading to the detention of hundreds of citizens returning from or heading to occupied Jerusalem.
