Prisoners’ Media Office Reveals Dangerous Escalation Against Female Detainees in Damon Prison

Ramallah – The Prisoners’ Media Office announced that Palestinian female detainees in Damon Prison are facing a dangerous and ongoing escalation, as the occupation forces carried out violent incursions into the sections, which included the removal of the detainees’ headscarves and assaults against them, in a blatant violation of all humanitarian laws and norms.

The office clarified that the detainees were forcibly taken to the yard and were compelled to sit on the ground, while they were assaulted using dogs and sound bombs, which resulted in several of them sustaining injuries due to these brutal assaults that have occurred four times in a row during the current month of December.

The office held the occupation fully responsible for the safety of the female detainees, warning of the dangers of continuing this repressive approach, and calling on human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to stop the escalating violations against the female detainees in Damon Prison.
