Occupation forces uproot dozens of olive trees northwest of Salfit
SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces began uprooting dozens of olive trees along the colonial road adjacent to the town of Deir Astiya, northwest of Salfit governorate.
The head of the Deir Astiya municipality, Abdul Rahim Zidan, informed the official agency that the occupation forces continue their demolition works west of the town, following previous eviction notices, which will lead to the uprooting of about 500 ancient olive trees along the road stretching from the town of Haris to the Wadi Qana area.
Zidan added that the demolition operations target the farmers' agricultural lands and constitute a direct assault on their livelihood as part of the occupation's policy aimed at colonial expansion and seizing more Palestinian lands.
