Severe Cold Claims the Life of an Infant in Khan Younis, Southern Gaza Strip
SadaNews - An 8-month-old infant died today, Thursday, due to the severe cold in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that the infant, Rahaf Abu Jazar, aged 8 months, passed away in Khan Younis as a result of the harsh cold.
The sources indicated that the incident reflects the grave humanitarian conditions in the sector, particularly for children and displaced individuals living in weak tents that are inadequate to withstand the cold weather.
Residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a lack of shelter and medical care, and absence of heating resources due to fuel shortages, amidst a cold, stormy, and rainy weather front.
