Organization of Islamic Cooperation Strongly Condemns New Israeli Settlement Plans in Occupied West Bank
SadaNews - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' approval of the construction of 764 new settlement units and their announcement of a plan to establish 17 new settlements in the occupied West Bank over the next five years, as part of annexation and expansion schemes, and attempts to impose its alleged sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian land.
The organization emphasized that Israeli colonial settlement policy constitutes a war crime and a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, foremost among which is Security Council Resolution 2334, in addition to the legal advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The organization renewed its call to the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take responsibility and take immediate actions to put an end to all crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities.
