Occupation Continues Series of Violations of the Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces launched a series of extensive assaults on the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, in a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, targeting residential areas and various locations in the besieged enclave.
The attacks included the bombing of homes and residential buildings, along with intensive aerial and artillery shelling that hit areas in the eastern parts of Gaza City and Rafah, while warships opened fire towards the sea off Khan Yunis.
In the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, Israeli forces detonated a booby-trapped vehicle, while warplanes carried out air strikes on the al-Tuffah and al-Zeitoun neighborhoods, and military vehicles fired near the Moraj axis north of Rafah. There was also a noticeable presence of warplanes flying intensely over the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with the destruction of residential buildings in eastern Khan Yunis.
Medical sources reported the martyrdom of a woman and the injury of six displaced individuals in eastern and northern Gaza, in addition to the death of a Palestinian as a result of his injuries after his home was targeted in Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip, according to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
This escalation comes amid uncertainty surrounding the start date of the second phase of the American plan to end the war, while the Israeli government announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to the United States at the end of December to meet with President Donald Trump and discuss the upcoming stages of the peace plan.
