The Occupation Escalates Its Aggression in the West Bank: Demolition of Houses, Facilities, Parks, and Agricultural Lands
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces escalated their demolition operations today, Monday, in several areas of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, targeting three houses, a commercial facility, two sheds, a park, and agricultural lands.
In Ramallah, the demolition operations targeted the homes of siblings Nidal and Ahmad Mahmoud Abdel Khaleq in the village of Bardala west of the city, along with an agricultural shed. Each house is approximately 150 square meters and is inhabited by about 14 individuals. Local sources indicated that the occupation authorities had notified Nidal of the demolition decision three months ago, and he submitted an appeal against the decision, but the demolition was carried out before a response from the court, despite both houses being within the structural plan of the village.
In Nablus, the occupation forces demolished a vehicle workshop in the town of Hawara south of the city. Local sources reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed the workshop and began demolishing it, indicating that it belongs to citizen Salama Hamad.
In Jerusalem, the occupation forces demolished an agricultural shed and a park, and uprooted a playground and agricultural lands in the town of Mukhmas north of the city, also uprooting several trees. Additionally, they demolished a commercial facility in the town of Hizma northeast of Jerusalem and fired toxic gas bombs during the raid, causing dozens to suffer from suffocation. Sources reported that the demolished facility was a "car wash and accessories shop" belonging to citizen Muhammad Abu Sabah, for the purpose of expanding a colonial road.
Inside the 48 territories, the occupation authorities demolished a house this morning in the western neighborhood of the city of Arraba in the Galilee, under heavy police protection, under the pretext of construction without a permit, which sparked widespread anger among the residents who condemned the continuous demolition policies.
The occupation authorities continue their policy of demolishing houses, shops, and industrial workshops in Arab towns within the 48 territories under the pretext of building without a permit, as recently happened in Rahat, Tubas al-Zangaria, Jdeideh Makr, Yarka, Zarzir, Akka, Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm, Sha'far Amro, Sakhnin, Ein Mahil, Jaffa, Kafr Qasim, Qalqilya, Kafr Yasif, Ara'a, Lod, Harfesh, and Kafr Qara, in addition to several villages in the Negev, amid widespread popular condemnation as it is considered a systematic policy to tighten the grip on Arab citizens.
