Settlers Attack Activists and Foreign Supporters North of Jericho
SadaNews - Early this Thursday morning, settlers attacked activists and foreign supporters in the Bedouin village of Shilal al-Awja, north of Jericho.
Hassan Mlihate, the general supervisor of the Bider rights organization, reported to the official agency that a number of settlers from the colonial outposts surrounding the Bedouin village of Shilal al-Awja invaded the village and attacked foreign activists present to protect Palestinian citizens. He noted that the activists and the unarmed villagers confronted the settlers and forced them to flee.
Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley are subjected to systematic assaults by settlers, which have significantly increased recently, targeting citizens and those who support them, including foreign peace activists.
