Mustafa Discusses Coordination of Efforts and Joint Work with Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister for Gaza Reconstruction
SadaNews - Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa welcomed the Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister for Gaza Reconstruction, Takeshi Okubo, at his office in Ramallah. They discussed enhancing cooperation and coordinating efforts and joint work to implement the recovery and reconstruction plan in the Gaza Strip and its executive programs, in the presence of Minister of Social Development, Samah Hamad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political and Legal Affairs, Omar Awad Allah, and the Japanese ambassador to Palestine, Araki Katsuhiro.
Mustafa emphasized the importance of working on a unified plan, which is the Arab recovery and reconstruction plan that has been adopted Islamically and enjoys European support and support from the international community through the New York Declaration, in true and serious coordination with the State of Palestine and its institutions, based on the jurisdiction of the State of Palestine over the Gaza Strip.
The Prime Minister stressed that there is no alternative to the official institutions of the State of Palestine in the Gaza Strip, and that work in the sector cannot be done in isolation from the correct political path, within the framework of the two-state solution and the realization of the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, under one system, government, weapon, and law.
Mustafa also reviewed the field situation in the West Bank amidst the ongoing aggression of the occupation army and settlers, and the invasion of refugee camps in northern West Bank, in addition to the halt of transferring Palestinian tax revenues for the seventh consecutive month.
The Prime Minister appreciated the ongoing Japanese support for Palestine on all fronts, stressing that the appointment of a deputy foreign minister for Gaza reconstruction sends a special message and importance in light of the difficult situation our cause is going through, expressing readiness to provide all facilities for his work tasks.
