Minister of Education: Next Year May Witness Full Return to In-Person Education in Gaza Strip
SadaNews - The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, stated that next year may witness a full return to in-person education in the Gaza Strip.
In a talk with the official Voice of Palestine radio, he explained that the ministry has actually started the process of returning students to temporary schools and is working to provide additional schools for all students in the upcoming period.
Barham pointed out that a new school will be established in North Gaza, which will accommodate about one thousand and eighty male and female students, as part of a plan that includes the establishment of schools in cooperation with various institutions.
He noted the extent of the destruction that has affected the educational infrastructure, as more than 293 out of 309 schools were damaged, while the remaining schools have turned into shelters for the displaced.
