Violation of the Ceasefire: Israeli Airstrikes and Demolition of Buildings in Gaza
SadaNews - Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip continue despite 51 days since the ceasefire agreement came into effect. Today, Sunday, health authorities in Gaza announced the arrival of 3 martyrs in the past 24 hours, including two new martyrs and a body retrieved from the rubble, in addition to two new injuries. Medical teams confirm that other victims are still trapped under the debris and in the streets, due to the extensive destruction and the dangers in the targeted areas.
According to data from the Government Media Office in Gaza, the Israeli occupation has committed 591 documented violations since the agreement took effect on October 11, 2025, resulting in 357 martyrs and 903 injuries, in a "flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the protocol attached to the agreement".
The attacks, according to the statement, included 164 direct shootings at civilians, homes, and displaced persons' tents, 25 incursions into residential and agricultural neighborhoods "bypassing the temporary yellow line", in addition to 280 ground, air, and artillery bombings, as well as 118 demolition operations targeting homes and civil facilities, which the statement described as a "systematic crime aimed at expanding the area of destruction and collectively punishing the population".
These figures raise the total toll of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, to 70,103 martyrs and 170,985 injuries, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Health authorities confirm that this number is likely to rise due to the ongoing difficulty in accessing affected areas.
On the ground, Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes at dawn on Sunday inside the yellow line east of Al-Bureij camp and the city of Rafah, alongside missile strikes targeting the outskirts of the neighborhoods of Shuja'iyya and Al-Tuffah. The army also demolished large buildings east of Khan Younis, as the army prepares to continue clearing areas along the yellow line in the coming weeks.
