One Killed and Seven Injured in Russian Attack Targeting Ukrainian Capital
SadaNews - Russia launched a drone attack targeting the Ukrainian capital early today (Saturday), resulting in one death and seven injuries.
Loud explosions were heard in Kyiv around midnight, while officials reported that air defense forces were working to repel the attack.
The head of the military administration in Kyiv, Tymur Tkachенко, stated that "enemy drones are flying over the city, and air defenses are responding. Several sites have been targeted in the vicinity of the capital."
Tkachенко later added, "Currently, there is one fatality in Kyiv and seven injured, including a child," noting that the deceased is a man.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, warned residents to stay in shelters during the attack.
Klitschko wrote on Telegram: "There are currently seven injured in the capital. Paramedics have taken four of them to the hospital."
Klitschko had earlier reported that a 13-year-old boy was among the injured.
Earlier this week, Kyiv was subjected to another nighttime attack involving drones and Russian missiles that resulted in seven deaths, according to officials, and fires broke out in residential buildings.
