According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, a delegation from Israel's Ministry of Transportation led by Minister Miri Regev, arrived in Abu Dhabi on an unannounced visit over the weekend.

It was noted that the high-speed train will link trade between the Gulf states and Israel.

The delegation arrived in Abu Dhabi to enhance the necessary regional cooperation between Saudis and Israelis, and this train represents an economic trade corridor that will transform Israel into a major commercial hub.

Goods will leave Mundra port in India by ship to the UAE, then travel overland through Saudi Arabia and Jordan, finally reaching Haifa, from where they can continue to Europe.

So far, trucks coming from the UAE reach Haifa port via the Allenby Bridge and are subject to bureaucratic procedures.

The Israeli plan aims to enable trucks coming from the UAE to enter Israel with approval without the need for lengthy bureaucratic processes.

The "Peace Corridor" plan, formulated in 2018 by the United States, has expanded into the IMEC economic corridor, which will link India, the Middle East, and Europe. It is expected to affect relations between Israel and Gulf states and reduce Israeli concerns regarding dependence on a "hard-line" economy and a limited number of economic partnerships.

In addition to the transit of goods via rail and maritime shipping routes, it is scheduled for communication cables and energy transfer pipelines to pass through the corridor.
