Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Announces Termination of Its Activities in Gaza Strip
SadaNews - The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced today, Monday, November 24, 2025, the termination of its activities in the Gaza Strip.
i24 Hebrew Channel stated in a brief announcement, "The GHF humanitarian foundation in Gaza announced today the termination of its activities in the region."
The name of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation became prominent with Washington's announcement in early May of this year about preparing a new system to deliver aid to the Palestinians in Gaza through private companies.
In the same context, Reuters news agency announced at the end of October that it had seen a document showing that Washington is considering a proposal to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, which would replace what is known as the "U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation."
The agency quoted an American official and another working in the humanitarian relief field, who are familiar with the plan, stating that this proposal is one of several concepts under consideration as Washington seeks to facilitate increased aid delivery to the region after two years of Israeli aggression.
According to the document, the backbone of the proposed plan will be called the "Gaza Humanitarian Corridor," which will consist of 12 to 16 centers distributed along the line to which the occupation army has retreated within the sector, where Palestinians on either side of the line can benefit from these centers.
The plan aspires for these centers to also serve as locations for what it calls "voluntary reconciliation facilities," where "combatants" can surrender their weapons and receive amnesty.
Furthermore, the plan remains optimistic, indicating that these centers will also be "advance operational bases for future forces with the international stabilization force planned to assist in disarming Gaza," according to the vision of the plan's developers.
The proposal states that "the humanitarian aid coordination center will monitor and ensure the security of the convoys through drone surveillance," and also discusses the participation of Arab countries considered moderate by Israel and the U.S. in being present at those centers to provide relief services.
Reuters reported an American official as saying that the proposal reflects an option being considered by the United States, but it is not the only option before Washington.
The White House and the U.S. military declined to comment on the document, while a source familiar with the document said that it does not reflect "actual decisions or policies" and is merely a "white paper" proposing an option regarding a specific issue.
It is worth mentioning that the so-called Gaza Relief Foundation failed to deliver aid to the Palestinians besieged in the sector by the occupation, and its distribution centers turned into death traps where 2,650 Palestinians were martyred by occupation gunfire, 19,124 were injured, and 200 individuals went missing.
