Occupation Arrests 56 Citizens, Including Two Women, and Continues to Abuse Residents in Beit Ummar
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces arrested 56 citizens today, Thursday, from the Hebron Governorate, including two women, most of whom are from the town of Beit Ummar in the north, accompanied by abuses against the residents of the town.
Security sources told the official agency that the occupation forces invaded the Wadi Al-Hariya area and Khirbat Qalqas south of the city of Hebron, and arrested the following individuals: Qusai Abu Aisha, Raed Shaheer Al-Atrash, and brothers Adib, Noor, and Muhammad Anwar Barakat Al-Atrash, Mahmoud Younis Al-Atrash, Moamen Mousa Al-Atrash, Muhammad Abdul Fattah Al-Atrash, Nadi Abdul Qader Al-Atrash, Hamza Muhammad Al-Atrash, and Noor Shakir Al-Atrash.
From the towns of Deir Samet and Al-Burj to the west, the occupation forces arrested: Bahij Mahmoud Al-Hroub, Mahrez Khalid Al-Talahmeh, and brothers Malik and Muhammad Al-Talahmeh, following a raid on their homes, searching them, and tampering with their contents.
In the town of Beit Ummar in the north, the occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and raids for the second consecutive day, targeting most of the homes of the town's residents and turning many of them into military barracks, accompanied by abuses against citizens and deliberate destruction of their belongings. They imposed strict siege on the town and declared it a closed military zone, closing all entrances and exits to the town and preventing citizens' movement.
The arrest and detention operation affected more than 40 citizens, including two women, who were held in the town's playground, among them: Walid Ali Aadi, Malik and Muhammad Joudat Bahar, Murad Muhammad Sabbarneh, Diyaar Ivan Sleibi, Saeed Abu Tirk Al-‘Alami, Issam Rabhi Ikhil, Yahya Ikhil, Waseem Al-Za’za’iq, Issam Al-Amour, Ismail Sleibi, Yusuf Al-‘Alami, Muhammad Jamal Al-Aqlaq, Anas Sabbarneh, Muhammad Izzat Muhammad Awad and his son Laith, Ahmad Hussein Abu Maria, Qutaiba Nader Al-‘Alami, Hussein Abu Ayash, Adel Al-Za’za’iq and his son Ahmad, Salah Al-Khateeb, Mus'ab Sabbarneh, Muhammad Abu Maria, Abdullah Al-Za’za’iq and his son Ali, Bara' Sabbarneh, and the brothers Muhyi, Yahya, Nabeel, and Haidar Abu Maria, and Suhair Sharif Abu Maria, the mother of the martyr Ibrahim Al-Za’za’iq.
