Ben Gvir Talks About Implementing the "Mosques Law"
SadaNews - Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir confirmed that the Israeli police are implementing what is known as the "Noise Law," which regulates the use of loudspeakers in mosques within Israel.
The far-right minister traveled to Southern Israel following reports of heavy gunfire heard from two areas in the Negev.
In a video recorded late Sunday night, Ben Gvir claimed that gunfire in the town of Laqiya was a response to police confiscating loudspeakers from mosques earlier this month.
He stated from his car: "The police implemented the noise law regarding mosques, and in response, some criminals there began shooting in the air, thinking they would intimidate us."
In the same clip, Ben Gvir promoted the house demolitions carried out in Bedouin areas during his tenure, stating that "more than 5,000 illegally built homes have been demolished this year."
He also added that the police are tightening measures to prevent gunfire at wedding celebrations.
He continued: "We have summoned the National Guard. We will not allow such parties to take place, and we are taking many other measures."
