The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the State of Palestine Organizes a Celebration on the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Green March
SadaNews - The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the State of Palestine organized a celebration in Ramallah on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Green March.
The event witnessed the participation of a large number of Palestinian figures from various sectors and fields, along with several graduates of Moroccan universities and institutes, the Palestinian-Moroccan Friendship Association, as well as a group of Moroccan citizens residing in different cities of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The celebration included a performance by the Independence Buds artistic troupe, which presented a distinctive artistic display expressing the depth of the brotherhood that unites the Moroccan and Palestinian peoples, and the spirit of their shared struggle for freedom, dignity, and independence, depicting a bright image of authentic Arab solidarity.
During the event, His Excellency Mr. Abdel Rahim Meziane, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Palestine, affirmed in his speech that the Green March, initiated by the late King Hassan II, may he rest in peace, represents a pivotal historical milestone in the course of the Moroccan national struggle, as it enabled the Kingdom of Morocco to regain its southern regions and strengthen its territorial integrity, marking the beginning of a phase of construction and comprehensive development across the various southern regions of the Kingdom.
Ambassador Meziane added that this anniversary is not just a passing national event but a profound embodiment of the consensus of all segments and components of the Moroccan people in defense of the territorial unity of the Kingdom and facing all challenges.
