Germany Arrests Another Person on Suspicion of Belonging to a Hamas-Linked Cell
SadaNews - The German Federal Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday that police arrested a suspect belonging to a cell affiliated with the "Hamas" movement that was planning attacks targeting Israeli or Jewish institutions.
According to the "French Press Agency," the prosecutor explained that the arrested individual (Burhan K.) was born in Lebanon and was detained on Tuesday evening while entering Germany from the Czech Republic.
It pointed out that the suspect had purchased in August "an automatic rifle and eight Glock pistols along with more than 600 rounds of ammunition inside Germany" and transferred them to another suspect named (Wael F.).
The latter was among three men arrested last month in Berlin on suspicion of possessing weapons and ammunition.
The prosecutor's office added that Danish police searched locations in Copenhagen and its surroundings linked to both (Burhan K.) and another suspect, while an additional suspect was arrested last week in London at the request of the German authorities.
For its part, the Palestinian "Hamas" movement denied any connection to the scheme.
