Occupation seizes 38 dunams of citizens' lands in Beit Ummar north of Hebron
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces issued a military order to confiscate and seize more than 38 dunams of land in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Engineer Halim Abu Mariya from the Beit Ummar municipality stated to the official agency that the municipality received a military order from the occupation forces to confiscate and seize 38 dunams of citizens' lands located to the northwest of the town.
Activist Mohammad Awad added that this area includes regions in "Dahr Aftima, Al-Yanbou, Khillat Al-Aran, Wadi Ashkheit, Khillat Al-Furn, and Sidr Safa," which are lands cultivated with grape vineyards and fruitful almond and olive trees. These lands belong to several families in the town and their crops represent the only source of income for some of them.
He emphasized that this is the second order of its kind within a short period after the occupation forces issued a military order last month to seize nearly 30 dunams of citizens' lands in the vicinity of Beit Al-Baraka, which was previously seized by settlers a few years ago.
