On the anniversary of the martyrdom of the late President Yasser Arafat.. "Fatah": Victory for an independent Palestinian state that includes the West Bank and Gaza with its capital in East Jerusalem
SadaNews - The Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" confirmed that the Palestinian people will continue their struggle with determination and persistence, instilled and reinforced in us by the founder and symbol leader, martyr Yasser Arafat "Abu Ammar". It pointed to Fatah's insistence, along with the Palestinian people, on adhering to the goal of an independent Palestinian state on all its lands, which include the West Bank and Gaza Strip with its capital in East Jerusalem, ensuring the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces and the removal of all manifestations of occupation, foremost among them settlements and settlers.
The Central Committee stated in a statement that Fatah, as the true representative of Palestinian nationalism and the aspirations and national goals of the Palestinian people, and as the guardian of their national project, will not compromise the free will of the Palestinian people and their independent national decision. It affirmed its rejection of all attempts to bypass national legitimacy or to impose settlements on the Palestinian people from outside their legitimate frameworks and their sole legitimate representative, the Palestine Liberation Organization, and emphasized the heavy sacrifices of the Palestinian people for their freedom, independence, and independent national decision.
The Central Committee confirmed that the Palestinian leadership, which adheres to the path of just peace, views the developments with a realistic eye, but without compromising the principle of the territorial unity of the Palestinian state or conceding the Gaza Strip as it is an integral part of the Palestinian state. It noted the Palestinian leadership's acceptance of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan as a roadmap to achieve just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, which ensures the right of self-determination for the Palestinian people.
The Central Committee clarified that reform represents an approach and a central goal for the Palestinian leadership and reflects a national interest, pointing out that the process of reform is ongoing and will not stop, affirming its rejection of using the pretext of reform to exclude individuals, prolong the life of the Israeli occupation, or evade the two-state solution.
The Central Committee of Fatah called on Arab countries to express solidarity and achieve the greatest degree of coordination among themselves and with Islamic and friendly countries during this critical phase. It stressed that any decision related to the fate of the Palestinian people and their just national cause must be taken through the legitimate institutions of the Palestinian people and in full coordination with Arab brothers, Islamic countries, and friendly nations.
The Central Committee of Fatah addressed the heroic Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem, and in all places where they exist, with greetings of appreciation and pride. It called for the renunciation of disputes and divisions, affirming that unity and solidarity are the only way to thwart all plans targeting our existence on our homeland, and aimed at liquidating our national cause through continuing the occupation, settlement policies, displacement, and ethnic cleansing. It pointed out that Fatah's hand will remain extended to all Palestinian forces and factions to end the division and achieve unity within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative.
Fatah highly appreciated the international solidarity with the Palestinian people and the international campaign against the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip, and against the terrorism of settlers in the West Bank. It also valued the positions of friendly countries, especially those that initiated recognizing the Palestinian state and strongly supported the two-state solution.
The Central Committee pledged to the masses of the Palestinian people to continue the path of struggle that was drawn by the symbol leader Yasser Arafat, the path of freedom, return, and national independence. It emphasized that the movement, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, will remain a guardian of Palestinian constants until freedom and independence. It addressed the pure and noble spirit of the late leader, to the souls of all the movement's leaders, and to the souls of the martyrs of the Palestinian people, with respect and honor, and a salute of pride to the steadfast prisoners in the occupation's jails, and to all released prisoners, affirming that the legacy of the founding leader Abu Ammar and his significant national achievements will remain immortal within us, etched in the memory of the Palestinian people forever.
