Sheikh Receives a High-Level Delegation from the European Union
SadaNews - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Sheikh, received a high-level delegation from the European Union, which included Mr. Christoph Pigu, the special representative for the peace process in the Middle East, Mr. Stefano Tomat, the managing director of the European External Action Service and head of Civilian Operations, Mr. Andreas Papaconstantinou from the European Commission – Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), Mr. Henrik Trautmann, the senior advisor for reconstruction in Gaza and the director of Middle East affairs, and Ambassador Alexander Stutzmann, head of the EU Mission in Palestine.
During the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Nabil Abu Rudainah, a member of the Central Committee and spokesperson for the presidency, the latest political developments and humanitarian conditions in the Palestinian territories were discussed, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the State of Palestine and the European Union.
