Katz: We Will Continue to Work Vigorously Until We Recover All Deceased Hostages
SadaNews - Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, announced that Israel will continue to work "vigorously" to achieve its goals in Gaza "until all deceased hostages are recovered and until the last tunnel is destroyed."
This statement was made in a post on his X platform account on Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the identification of the body that was delivered on Friday. It clarified in a statement that the remains belong to the abducted Israeli-Argentinian, Leor Rodav.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement announced on Friday evening the delivery of a hostage's remains to the Red Cross, as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
The movement also noted that the remains were found in the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu's office reported on Friday that a coffin containing the remains of one of the hostages was handed over to Israeli forces in Gaza through the International Committee of the Red Cross and would be transferred into Israel for identification.
