China's Foreign Exchange Reserves Rise to $3.3 Trillion
SadaNews Economy - China announced an increase in its foreign exchange reserves to $3.3433 trillion by the end of last October, equivalent to an increase of 0.14 percent compared to the levels at the end of September.
A statement issued by China's National Foreign Exchange Administration indicated that the increase is due to the combined effects of exchange rate conversions and changes in asset prices.
It explained that during October, global financial asset prices generally rose, resulting from multiple factors including macroeconomic data and monetary policy expectations from major economies.
China's foreign reserves are among the largest in the world, serving as a highly secure hedge against any global financial crises.
