UNRWA: 20% of Gaza's Children Missed Basic Vaccinations After Two Years of War
SadaNews - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated today, Friday, that one in five children in the Gaza Strip has missed essential vaccinations after two years of war.
UNRWA mentioned in a post on the platform X that it has launched a vaccination campaign in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization, and other partners to reach 44,000 children and provide them with life-saving vaccines aimed at compensating for their missed doses and conducting screenings for malnutrition.
The agency added that it will contribute through 24 health centers and medical points across the Gaza Strip "in support of these vital efforts to restore basic healthcare services for the children of the region."
