Mustafa Discusses Latest Palestinian Developments with Dutch Foreign Minister
SadaNews - Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa emphasized the importance of international community support to enable the State of Palestine to fully assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, and to restore unity with the West Bank, asserting that international efforts should support the State of Palestine rather than serve as a substitute in managing the sector.
This came during his meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Viell, today, Friday, in his office in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments and supporting international efforts to empower the State of Palestine to assume its full responsibilities in the Gaza Strip.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to intensify and double international pressure on Israel to stop its measures in the West Bank, and the assaults by the occupation forces and settlers, as well as checkpoints and restrictions, and to release the withheld Palestinian funds, while continuing efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Mustafa discussed with van Viell strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, praising the Dutch support provided to Palestine on all fronts, both bilaterally and through the European Union, by supporting the New York Declaration and the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, as well as the humanitarian and relief assistance provided to Palestinians.
For his part, the Dutch Foreign Minister confirmed his country's support for efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid, halt Israeli measures in the West Bank, and reinforce the role of the national authority in the Gaza Strip and restore unity with the West Bank within the framework of achieving the two-state solution.
