Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate: Two Martyrs and 10 Injuries Among the Journalistic Community During October
SadaNews - The Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate confirmed the ongoing targeting of the Palestinian journalistic community by the Israeli occupation system, represented by the occupation army, alongside a noticeable rise in assaults by settlers against journalists.
The report issued by the Syndicate's Freedoms Committee during October 2025 stated that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers continued their systematic assaults against Palestinian journalists and media workers, whether in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, or in the Gaza Strip, as part of a clear policy aimed at silencing voices and preventing the field coverage of crimes and violations against civilians.

Destruction of media equipment and facilities, including the journalists' tent in the square of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, and several field broadcasting vehicles and personal protective equipment (helmets and vests).

The Syndicate stated that these crimes and violations constitute grave breaches of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and that targeting journalists, their homes, and their headquarters aims to obscure the truth and prevent its transmission.
The Syndicate affirmed that it is proceeding in partnership with the International Federation of Journalists to take legal action against Israeli war criminals for their crimes against Palestinian journalists in international courts, especially the International Criminal Court, in order to hold them accountable, ensure their prosecution, and guarantee that they do not escape punishment, calling for immediate protection for Palestinian journalists from international institutions and the Human Rights Council, and holding the occupation accountable for its recurring crimes against press and media freedom, foremost among them the crime of media genocide, which has claimed around 255 martyrs from journalists during the aggression.
