A Message from Bin Salman to President Abbas: We Will Continue to Support Palestine
SadaNews - President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received a response letter from Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, addressing the Kingdom's steadfast position supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
In his letter, the Crown Prince expressed the full solidarity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the Palestinian people amidst their suffering due to the ongoing escalation and economic pressures, affirming the Kingdom's unwavering position regarding the Palestinian cause and its constant support for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights in establishing their independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He also confirmed that the Kingdom will continue to support the Palestinian National Authority, enabling it to fulfill its responsibilities, and striving to gather international support to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, lift the financial blockade, and release the withheld Palestinian tax funds.
Bin Salman pointed out that the Kingdom, in coordination with international partners, is working to successfully advance political efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian issue through peaceful means, recalling the pioneering role played by the Kingdom in the high-level international conference for the two-state solution, which it chaired in partnership with the French Republic, and which witnessed an increasing number of countries announcing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, a step he described as "historic" reflecting the growing international support for the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Crown Prince concluded his letter by expressing hope that these efforts would contribute to implementing the two-state solution, achieving security and stability for the State of Palestine and the region, wishing President Mahmoud Abbas success and prosperity, and wishing peace and prosperity for the State of Palestine and its people.
