Nablus Governor: The occupation issues a military decision to move the "Hamra" checkpoint to the village of Ain Shibli
SadaNews - Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas stated that the occupation army has issued a military decision to move what is known as the "Hamra" checkpoint, on the road connecting Nablus, Tubas, and Jericho, closer to the village of Ain Shibli east of Nablus.
Daghlas added that the area is witnessing leveling operations to relocate the checkpoint, which warns of the confiscation of more land to facilitate the movement of settlers and tighten control over the northern and central Jordan Valley, according to forecasts.
In this context, the head of the Ain Shibli village council, Jamal Al-Amri, confirmed to the official agency that the council was informed a few days ago of the occupation's intention to move the checkpoint to the village and to seize about 12 dunams of its lands for military purposes.
The occupation forces establish the Hamra military checkpoint at a junction connecting the cities of the West Bank with the central, southern, and northern Jordan Valley, as it serves as a main outlet for thousands of citizens to reach their workplaces in the Jordan Valley.
