A Leadership Delegation from Hamas Meets with the Turkish Foreign Minister in Istanbul

SadaNews - A leadership delegation from Hamas, headed by the movement's leader in the Gaza Strip, Khalil Hayya, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today in Istanbul. In a statement from Hamas, it was mentioned that "the meeting discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip, especially after the ceasefire agreement, and the subsequent Israeli violations regarding its implementation, including the bombing that resulted in the death of about 250 Palestinians, as well as the failure to open the Rafah crossing and many other violations." The Hamas delegation handed the Turkish Foreign Minister a detailed memorandum of the Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement since its implementation began until today. The movement stated in its announcement that "Hayya briefed Fidan on the difficult humanitarian and living conditions of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the movement's commitment to what was agreed upon, whether searching for the remaining bodies of the occupation's prisoners and handing them over, or the necessity of completing other steps that the movement has sought to achieve at the national level, such as forming an independent committee to manage the Strip, and what will follow from imperatives, especially completing the complete Israeli withdrawal from the sector." Hayya also emphasized "the importance of the Turkish role in reaching a ceasefire agreement, calling for more efforts to end the humanitarian suffering and to provide people with what is necessary for urgent relief and shelter, especially as we approach winter," according to the statement from Hamas. The delegation reviewed the difficult conditions in the West Bank and Jerusalem and the ongoing Israeli violations against citizens, sanctities, and prisoners, stressing the need for regional and international action to stop these crimes and ongoing aggression.
