After the Security Council Decision.. The King of Morocco Invites the Algerian President to Sincere Fraternal Dialogue Between the Two Countries
SadaNews - King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco has invited Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to a sincere fraternal dialogue between the two countries to overcome differences and build new relations, following the Security Council's vote in favor of a resolution that solidifies the proposal for autonomy as the basis for a political solution in the Saharan regions of the Kingdom.
The King stated in a speech addressed to the Moroccan people on the evening of Friday, October 31, 2025, following the Security Council's vote in favor of autonomy in the Moroccan Sahara, (he said) “I invite my brother, His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to a sincere fraternal dialogue between Morocco and Algeria to overcome differences and build new relations based on stability, brotherhood, and good neighborliness.”
The King added, “We reaffirm our commitment to continue working to revive the Maghreb Union based on mutual respect, cooperation, and integration among the five countries.”
