UNRWA: We continue our humanitarian role in Gaza despite the difficulties
SadaNews - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that it continues to perform its vital humanitarian role in the Gaza Strip, despite the challenges and difficult conditions faced by the population.
UNRWA stated on its page on "X" that its schools in the area still serve as a safe haven for displaced families, as their halls have turned into temporary shelters for them. It pointed out that its teams of social workers provide protection and psychological and social support services, assisting the affected individuals in restoring their lives with dignity.
It added that more than 12,000 employees from its staff in Gaza continue to work daily in the fields of education, healthcare, and providing basic aid to the displaced. It emphasized that every lesson, medical consultation, or water distribution operation, and waste collection is supported by one of UNRWA's workers who prove daily that the agency continues its work despite all hardships.
