Netanyahu, Katz, and Zamir Threaten to Disarm Hamas and Vow to Face Other Fronts
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his Defense Minister Israel Katz, and their Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened to work on disarming Hamas and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip.
This statement came during their participation in a graduation ceremony for a new class of Israeli forces.
Netanyahu stated, as translated by SadaNews, "There is still work to be done in Gaza, and we will not relent... Ultimately, Hamas will be disarmed."
He praised his forces who stood united to face what he described as "the brutality of Hamas" following the attack carried out on October 7.
He pointed out that his forces have been handling many challenges and threats in the Gaza Strip, achieving remarkable results, according to his claims, which are now being studied in military academies around the world.
He added: "The strength of our will and the actions of our fighters and leaders have resulted in the return of all living hostages, and we are determined to bring back all our fallen hostages... We will not relent, and there is still work to be done in Gaza... Ultimately, Hamas will be disarmed and Gaza will be disarmed... If there are no foreign forces, we will do it... I said on the second day of the war that we will change the face of the Middle East."
Katz stated that his forces have eliminated an existential threat to Israel, inflicted damage on the Iranian nuclear project and on Iran's missile production project, as well as neutralizing Hezbollah leaders, disrupting the strategic capabilities of Assad's army in Syria, changing the approach taken in the West Bank, and severely damaging the infrastructure of the Houthis in Yemen.
He added: "This is not the end; the Houthis will pay a high price for their attempts to strike the Israeli home front over the past two years... We have not said the final word... There is no other army in the world that was able to do what you have done."
He affirmed that his forces will insist on the full implementation of the Gaza agreement and will not stop until all abducted individuals are returned and Hamas is disarmed, emphasizing that there are many challenges in several arenas that will not be halted until their objectives are achieved.
For his part, Zamir commended his forces, confirming that he will work to achieve the war's objectives by continuing operations on all seven fronts.
Zamir stated: The mission is not yet complete, and we bear the responsibility to achieve it fully... Even after two years of fighting, we have not stopped firing, and we will not tolerate any violation that could endanger Israel's security in any arena... We will not tolerate any revealed threat... There will be no containment when the safety of Israeli citizens is threatened... In some arenas, we will work again with a greater force than we have known over the past two years."
