Abbas Zaki Receives the Ambassador of China to Palestine
SadaNews - Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee and the General Commissioner for Arab Relations and the People's Republic of China, received the esteemed comrade Tseng Jicheng, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, this morning, in the presence of Bassam Zakarneh, a member of the Revolutionary Council and Deputy General Commissioner.
Zaki briefed the Chinese ambassador on the latest developments in the occupied territories, particularly the ongoing violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, as well as the continued incursions by the Israeli occupation forces into various Palestinian cities and villages and the arrest campaigns they are conducting, including attacks by settlers in numerous areas of the West Bank, especially the persistent assaults on olive harvesters and the uprooting of hundreds of olive trees. Zaki praised the steadfast Chinese position regarding the Palestinian issue, especially what the Chinese leadership announced even after the two parties signed a ceasefire according to the twenty points declared by U.S. President Trump. China has emphasized the necessity of collective efforts to achieve a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire that effectively alleviates the humanitarian crisis and restores regional stability... and the implementation of the principle of "the Palestinians govern themselves," based on the understanding that any arrangements for the future of Gaza must respect the will of the Palestinian people... and commitment to the two-state solution without retreat, which leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967. Zaki also pointed to the need to renew and develop the cooperative protocol between Fatah and the Communist Party of China in the upcoming period. For his part, Comrade Tseng confirmed that the Chinese positions supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are principled and steadfast and will not change, and China will continue to support the Palestinian people until they enjoy their freedom and establish their Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967.
For his part, Tseng indicated that he will communicate with the Department of Foreign Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Beijing to arrange for the renewal of the cooperative protocol between Fatah and the Communist Party of China, either in Beijing or Ramallah.
