The Lebanese President Requests the Army to Confront Any Israeli Incursion
SadaNews - Today, Thursday, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun issued directives to the army commander to confront any Israeli incursion in the south of the country, following an incident where Israeli forces crossed the border earlier today and killed an employee in the town of Blida.
For its part, the Lebanese army stated: What the enemy did in Blida is a criminal act and a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, constituting a breach of the ceasefire agreement.
It added: The claims and baseless pretexts raised by the enemy are invalid and aim to justify its violations against our country and our citizens.
The army also said: We have asked the committee overseeing the ceasefire to put an end to the ongoing violations by the Israeli enemy.
