Ben Gvir: Israel is a Sovereign State, Not Under Washington's Tutelage
SadaNews - Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has affirmed that Israel is an independent sovereign state and not under Washington's tutelage, expressing his deep appreciation for former U.S. President Donald Trump.
These statements came in the context of his rejection of the recent prisoner exchange agreement, emphasizing that the top priority should be the eradication of Hamas.
Ben Gvir stated: "I greatly appreciate President Trump, but we are an independent sovereign state and not under Washington's authority."
He added: "We must eliminate Hamas, which currently controls half of the Gaza Strip, which is why I opposed the recent agreement."
He pointed out that the supreme goal of the current war should be the complete eradication of Hamas, considering this goal should take precedence over any other considerations, including the return of Israeli prisoners.
