Katz: Destroying Tunnels and Disarming Hamas is the Most Important Goal in Gaza

SadaNews - Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, affirmed that Israel's most important strategic goal in Gaza is the destruction of Hamas tunnels and the complete disarmament of the movement. Katz stated: "In my opinion, disarming Gaza by destroying the terrorist Hamas tunnels, along with disarming Hamas, is the most important strategic goal to achieve victory in Gaza." He continued: "The most urgent moral mission is, of course, to bring all deceased hostages (remains) back home, and we will do everything to accomplish this mission." Katz noted that the Israeli army continues to achieve what he described as a great victory against Hamas, focusing on the destruction of tunnels, around 60 percent of which are still intact. The minister added that the army has made the destruction of these tunnels a top priority in the area under Israeli control, along with protecting soldiers and settlements. He also revealed the ongoing coordination with American officials to find radical solutions for the disarmament and destruction of tunnels in the areas under their responsibility, along with disarming Hamas.
