Egyptian Teams Enter Gaza to Participate in the Search for Israeli Remains

SadaNews - The Hebrew Channel 12 reported this Saturday evening, citing Israeli sources, that Egyptian teams and equipment will enter the Gaza Strip tonight to participate in the search operations for the remains of Israelis, following the approval of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Kan Hebrew Channel stated: "In response to U.S. pressure, equipment and Egyptian teams will be brought in tonight to search for the bodies of the Israeli captives in Gaza." For his part, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed the families of the deceased held by Hamas that Washington is exploring ways to increase pressure on the group to hand over their remains, emphasizing that "the United States will not forget the hostages who died in Hamas captivity and will not cease efforts until all their remains are recovered." In the same context, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported, citing Israeli sources, that Washington is preventing Israel from tightening sanctions on Hamas and is giving negotiations more time to make progress on the exchange issue. The newspaper added that the U.S. administration has agreed to postpone opening the Rafah crossing until the remains of the hostages are recovered, and it has not agreed to reduce the aid provided to the Gaza Strip at present.
