Injuries and Arrests in Attacks by the Occupation and Settlers in the West Bank

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin today, Saturday, and besieged a house in the old town.

Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that special Israeli forces raided the city and were stationed in the area of Al-Maraj neighborhood and the old town, besieging a house there, while large numbers of infantry forces spread throughout the city.

Another force also stormed Tulkarem, searched several shops and vehicles, and another force checked a Skoda vehicle in Nablus, continuing its raids in several areas.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces detained a citizen after raiding his tents in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that the occupation raided the tents of citizen Youssef Basharat and detained him hours after a number of settlers stormed the gathering.

Three citizens were injured due to attacks by settlers in the village of Deir Nizam northwest of Ramallah, while another was arrested by the occupation forces.

Activist Mujahid Al-Tamimi stated that settlers attacked farmers while they were picking olives near the western entrance to the village, assaulting them with the butts of their weapons, resulting in injuries and bruises to three of them, and forcing them to leave their lands.

Al-Tamimi mentioned that the occupation forces stormed the village to provide protection for the settlers and arrested young man Mu'tasim Abdullah Al-Tamimi (31 years old).

It is worth noting that settlers burned a number of farmers while spraying them with pepper gas in Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, while the occupation continues for the second consecutive week to prevent farmers from reaching their lands northwest of Ramallah.

Meanwhile, settlers attempted to steal several sheep in the village of Al-Rashaida, east of Bethlehem.

A security source reported that a group of settlers stormed the outskirts of the village and attempted to seize sheep belonging to citizens from the village, but the residents confronted them and thwarted their attempts, forcing them to withdraw from the area.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its crews have documented a total of 158 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of the current season, with the occupation army carrying out 17 attacks, while settlers executed 141.
