Palestinian Presidency: We Welcome President Trump's Statements Rejecting Annexation
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, welcomed the statements of U.S. President Donald Trump to Time magazine on 23/10/2025, rejecting annexation, and his firm positions with Israel on this matter, especially since they come after forcing Israel to cease fire in the Gaza Strip, which has been a demand of the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas since the first day of the war.
Abu Rudeineh added: We express our great appreciation for the relationship between President Mahmoud Abbas and President Trump, which was articulated in his interview with Time magazine, where he said "President Abbas has the respect of the Palestinians, he is a wise man and a symbol, and my relationship with him has always been good. I could understand him, and I find him rational."
The presidential spokesperson continued: We call on President Trump to continue making important efforts that can achieve security and stability in the Middle East, especially as we are committed to international legitimacy and Arab legitimacy, and to the political positions announced by President Mahmoud Abbas in his recent speech before the United Nations General Assembly.
