France: "Hamas" Regains Control Over Gaza
SadaNews - On Wednesday, the French government saw that Hamas is regaining control over Gaza, calling in this context for an "urgent" implementation of measures to restore security to the Palestinian territory and its governance.
The spokesperson for the French government, Mod Bréguon, stated after the cabinet meeting that "Hamas is regaining control over the sector and its administrations, and is carrying out a campaign of repression against its opponents, after the Americans hinted to them that they would have some time to achieve stability in the Gaza Strip."
Bréguon added: "In this context, it is essential to implement the second phase of the ceasefire, with the three priorities being humanitarian, security, and finally related to governance."
US Vice President J.D. Vance stated from Jerusalem on Wednesday that the task of disarming Hamas in the Gaza Strip and rebuilding Palestinian territories will be "extremely difficult."
Several points of the plan announced by President Donald Trump last September for achieving peace in Gaza have not yet been implemented, including the issue of disarming Hamas.
French President Emmanuel Macron saw on Tuesday that the ceasefire remains "very fragile," and called for "immediate action to open humanitarian bridges and various humanitarian routes" to allow the entry of aid, stating that it is "extremely urgent."
