SadaNews - The Israeli government approved on Sunday a change in the name of the recent war on the Gaza Strip to "War of Renaissance."
Israeli Channel 12 reported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as saying at the start of the government session: "Today, I present to the government a proposal to approve an official and permanent name for the war.. War of Renaissance."
He added: "After two years of continuous fighting, we remember how we started." He continued: "We rose up from the horrible disaster on October 7. This is the war of our people's resurrection, as a direct extension of the War of Independence."
He clarified: "We rose up vigorously on our feet.. and eliminated the existential threat of the Iranian axis among us."
The Secretary of the Israeli Cabinet published a draft proposal on Saturday evening, at Netanyahu's request, to change the name of the Gaza War from "War of Iron Swords" to "War of Renaissance."
Israeli media reports stated that "the cost of the change will amount to no less than two million shekels for taxpayers."
