A Palestinian Delegation Discusses Refugees' Situations and the Weapon Handing Over Process Inside the Camps with the Lebanese Prime Minister
SadaNews - A Palestinian delegation discussed the general situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam.
This occurred during a meeting held by the delegation with Salam at the Government Palace in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Thursday. The delegation included Yasser Abbas, the special representative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the legal advisor to the president, Wael Lafi, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Lebanon, Mohammad As'ad, in the presence of the head of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Ambassador Ramez Damashqiya, and the political and legal advisor in the committee, Ali Murad.
Both sides discussed the process of handing over weapons inside the camps, issues related to the humanitarian, social, and economic rights of the refugees, and ways to address several urgent living issues that enhance Lebanese-Palestinian cooperation while respecting Lebanese sovereignty and laws, ensuring the dignity of living for Palestinian refugees.
Salam affirmed the Lebanese government's commitment to follow up on these issues in a way that contributes to strengthening Lebanese-Palestinian relations.
